This is how Sputnik Start a Space War during Cold War

In 1957, a very special event happened that changed the world forever. The Soviet Union, which was a big country in Europe and Asia, launched a special thing called Sputnik into space.

Sputnik was the first artificial satellite ever created by humans and it orbited the Earth every 96 minutes!

The launch of Sputnik was a really big deal because it showed that the Soviet Union had advanced technology and scientific knowledge. It also started a competition between the Soviet Union and the United States called the "Space Race." The two countries wanted to see who could do the most amazing things in space and be the first to achieve different goals.

The United States was surprised and a little scared by the launch of Sputnik. They had always thought of themselves as the most advanced and powerful country in the world. But the Soviet Union had beaten them to space! So, the United States started to work harder on their own space program.

Both countries sent rockets and satellites into space, and they even sent people! The United States sent a man named Neil Armstrong to be the first person to walk on the Moon in 1969. That was a huge achievement and people all over the world were amazed and proud.

The competition between the Soviet Union and the United States during the Space Race was not only about technological advancements but also a display of their political ideologies. While the Soviet Union's communist belief in collective effort and shared resources guided their approach, the United States, being a capitalist country, focused on individual prosperity and ownership. The Space Race provided a platform for both nations to showcase their unique approaches to governance and persuade the world that their method was superior.

In the end, the Space Race helped us learn a lot more about space and what it takes to explore it. It also helped inspire kids all over the world to dream big and think about all the amazing things we can do if we work together and keep learning.
